Models Own ♥

Finally my second Models Own nail varnish package has arrived. I wasn't very impressed that it took well over a week to get here when the delivery stated 3-5 days. However I wasn't disapointed with the nail varnishes at all. As usual I love them, I went for purple/pinky colours this time as I'm feeling quite summery. They are on offer on the website so if you buy 3 you get £3 off. So I paid £12 for these three:
Raspberry Crush 057
Lilac Dream 049
Pink Blush 037

I love all three shades, but my favourite is the Pink Blush as it's very summery and very Barbie-esque. All three with done with just one coat which dried really quickly which is why I love Models Own nail varnishes as they are such good quality. I'm already deciding on colours for my next purchase ....

My bedroom ♥

Thought I would share with you my bedroom that I share with the boy. I love my bedroom its my own little sanctuary, it's not exactly how I'd have it if I was on my own . But that's what happens when you share with someone you compromise. He does let me get away with quite a few girly things as you will see.
This is the view from then door of my bedroom. As you can see , it's a mixture of chocolate brown and teal which looks gorgeous together .
My bed , hands down my favourite place to be ! Also I share my bed with two characters from toy story and then the boy too.
This is part of my feature wall. Got a little theme going on here with the bird cages and little birds, I love things like that.
This is Craig's wardrobe which has all of my stuffed toys on top. Including a lot of penguins, I've got a thing about penguins . I love them. Also if this is Craig's wardrobe this leaves the question where do I keep my clothes? Well Im saving that for last, but it's definately not in the bedroom as we have loads of clothes between us and I didn't want the room being crammed full of wardrobes so I had to get creative. I will go into further detail later.
This is my desk / dressing table , this has another theme going on all together. And the theme is definately cupcakes , yet another thing I love not that im fickle or anything..
Firstly these are my cupcake drawers which I keep my jewellery in ( colour coded of course) and my headbands. The cupcake box is where I keep all my make-up and the spotty box is for my receipts.
Then there's my treasured cupcake stand which I use to store my pretty sprays , nail varnishes and earrings to stop them tangling.
Next up is my piece de resistance which is my walk in wardrobe which I created from what used to be the eletric cupboard which is the door right next to my bedroom.

1. This photo is to give a general idea of the size of my wardrobe. I used an off cut of carpet and painted it hot pink. Put in a rail and some drawers and voila I had a wardrobe
2. This is its secondary function of an electric cupboard
3.Clothes , shoes and bags
Close up of my gorgeous bags , shoes and clothes ♥

Right that is my bedroom. It contains all my favourite things cupcakes , penguins and vintage style birds and bird cages. I like to keep it tidy and love to spend time in there with Craig.

What I've been buying ♥

Hey , today I'm going to be showing a selection of my favourite purchases from the last few weeks. As you will be able to tell from this post , I have been treating myself a lot recently. But what the hell , I'm worth it !!
Left : £13   Right: £9
These are both Primark playsuits and I love them , they both have a gorgeous floral pattern on and the first one has gorgeous black buttons down the front.
These are my first playsuits as I love them but wasn't sure whether they's suit me or not and for these prices it was worth buying to try them .
Left : £18 Be Beau at Matlan Right : £12.99 New Look
I love the denim waistcoat , I tend to wear a lot of floaty girly things so wanted something a bit more rocky and this was perfect with the stonewash denim and studs.
And the New Look dress I love , really good for trying out a nautical look and just £12.99 which is the full price not sale. Theres also some buttons on the back which you cant see but they look really nice.
Im going to be wearing it with leggings and some flat espadrilles I think.
This is also available in red.
Left : £7 New Look  Right: £15 River Island
These are my most recent purchases which I got yesterday. On my home from Uni I couldn't resist a nose around the shops as most have a mid season sale on and I wasn't disappointed. The first top I loved, as I love the trend of collared tops and the monochrome of the black and white. And was reduced from £14.99 to £7.
The second top is a gorgeous peach colour, a colour I've wanted to try for ages. You can't really tell from the photo but the back of the top is split which I love as it's different and unusual.
Left : £12.99  Right : £17.99          http://www.funkydivaa.com/
Both of these are from an online shop called Funky Divaa. I had a code for 15% off from the lovely Fay's blog (http://faydanielle.blogspot.com/2011/04/are-you-funkydivaa.html)
I was a bit dubious as some of these sites are good as they're cheap but the clothes can be of really bad quality. However I love the dress, it is the perfect coral colour that I love. And i already have the perfect black lace shoes and bag to go with it.
The blouse is gorgeous too , the only problem I have with it is the vest that comes with it is tiny and has no stretch. But that's not a problem as it's not attached and I have loads of vests I can put underneath it instead.

New Scent ♥

I have been looking for a new perfume for a while now . I was using Vera Wang Princess which I loved but after it ran out I decided I wanted a change. I also had a nearly full bottle of Jean Paul Gaultier which is my all time favourite perfume, but it is way too heavy for everyday use,so that's kept for special ocassions. After spending a lot of time in the shop smelling everything , I decided on CK IN2U.
Described on the Boots website as:
spontaneous and seductive. It opens with a burst of pink grapefruit fizz, tart red currant leaves and zesty sicilian bergamot. The heart produces a surge of mouth watering sugar orchid that mingles with the hypnotic nectar of the white Cactus. The fragrance is lit from within as warm neon Amber floods throughout, while the base notes are flush with the seductive scents of luscious Vanilla soufflé and smoldering red Cedar

This sounds to me like something I'd rather eat than smell of , particuarly the luscious vanilla souffle. However it is a gorgeous light fresh scent which is really sweet and feminine.
It is absolutley perfect for summer and for £24.95 for 150ml , you can't go wrong.
Also I thought the bottle is really nice and different from the usual type of bottles so it makes a very welcome addition on my dressing table

The wanderer has returned...

I am finally back and able to blog after getting my laptop fixed which decided to break just after I decided to come back to blogging. So tomorrow it will be business as usual and I will try to do a post a day. Not sure how that will turn out.
Looking forward to writing my blog and reading other peoples blogs again.

Sorry Barry M , for I have sinned...

Hey , First up is a bit of an apology. I haven't blogged since Valentines Day  and to be honest I wasn't planning on starting again. I was just lacking inspiration and feeling like I didn't have nice clothes/make-up to write about. I'm sure other people get like this when you feel like you have no clothes, make up etc.But I have decided to keep going as I genuinely enjoy writing a blog even if no one reads it and I am just writing it for myself as I find it therapeutic.
This post is about the new love of my life ( nail varnish wise anyway :P ) , Models Own. This was my first order and I bought these 3 nail varnishes:
Coral Reef
Nude Beige
Peach Sherbet
These three are my perfect spring nail colours. They are the first nude and peach colours I have bought, being a red/pink girl for so long , and I adore them.So subtle yet pretty and girly.
Overall the nail varnishes are in lovely bottles , go on smoothly , drive very quickly and don't generally need more than one coat despite being quite subtle colours. The only downfall is the price which is quite steep at £5 a bottle but they do have some offers on their website such as 6 for £20 although the colours are set but you pick from different box sets but it is still a good deal and there are some lovely colours:
These nail varnishes have become my new favourite nail varnish range and has stolen the title from Barry M which has been my fave for a long time now and didn't think they could be replaced but they have.
I can't wait to place my next order!!

Poundland Bargain ♥

Hey , I was browsing through Poundland yesterday , as you do.... I usually go in there for packaging for my ebay sales , wet wipes and cotton buds the basics really. I don't mind going in Poundland , some people won't go in there but I love it just wish I had more time in there to look , the OH was very impatient as usual. While I was in there I did manage to pick up these Rimmel products for £1(obviously...) :
I got two Lycra pro nail varnishes : Orange Bliss and Pop Rose
Vinyl gloss in Demure
Eyeshadow in Matte White

I was so impressed with all these for just £4 , in Superdrug the nail varnishes are £4.49 alone. Think I may browse the make-up in Poundland more often. They also had some Sally Hansen nail varnishes and some various Maybelline products. They are all in perfect condition , Bargain !!
While I'm on the topic I recently bought a Garnier summer boy moisturiser in Superdrug for £5.06 and then a few days later , unfortunately after I had used it I found it in Poundland, gutted !

Superdrug Mini Haul ♥

Hey , On my way home from Uni today I stopped in Superdrug for some cotton wool balls and cotton buds which would have cost a couple of pound but as usual I came out with much more than I wanted or needed to! This is starting to get a bit out of hand lol , I think I may have to start sending other people into shops for me when I need something small, give my poor bank account a rest. So this is what I bought:
This Garnier moisturiser is new out so it was on offer for just £1.99(250ml) or £2.99(400ml) for a larger bottle , which is very reasonable I didn't want to buy a bigger bottle without trying it out first though. They have a few different varieties dependent on your skin type . I picked up the one for Dry Skin as I have dry skin on the tops of my arms and legs, this one is mango oil so I was expecting it to have a really nice scent but to be honest it doesn't smell of much. I have tried this on my hand for now , I will review it in detail after I have used it more , especially since it claims to leave your skin feeling intensely hydrated for 7 days ! This seems extremely unlikely to me, but I will give it a go.
Secondly I have only been using cleanser and toner for around a year now and have only used Superdrug's own brand cleanser and toner. So when I saw these Garnier Fresh Essentials cleanser and toner on offer for £2.01 each I thought I'd try them and see if brand name products are better than own brands.
I also bought new tweezers because my other pair have gone blunt :
I had to post a picture of these , I think they are so cute ! I've only ever had plain silver or black bog standard tweezers. So these will look gorgeous in my make-up bag.
Whilst I was there I also picked up the Barry M lipstick I mentioned in my last blog post:
This is a really interesting product , it doesn't go on green at all it goes on more clear and then changes your lip colour which would vary dependent on the pH of your lips. It went a lovely dark pink shade when I put it on, the only problem is that it is quite hard to get off. It comes off a pinky shade as well , so it goes on clear-ish and comes off pink, the mind boggles !
Now a good blogger would obviously post a picture to show the lipstick and normally I would but unfortunately my skin is not very nice at the moment around my lips due to a reaction to a product. So I'm refraining from pictures until it heals up.
Lastly I have decided to treat myself to a models own nail varnish , my first one so excited :) When I went on the website they had an amazing offer, 6 for £20 so I have ordered the 2010 collection set. It doesn't really count as spending because I've used my papal account to buy it which has my earnings from Ebay this month in so it would have been rude not to order them, right?

Barry M ♥

Hey , another nail related post today. I love, love, love nail varnish and as long as I'm not in work I'm guaranteed to have painted nails. More often than not I paint my nails a new colour every night. It's time consuming but it's worth it because I don't feel right without painted nails like my hands are naked. I love Barry M nail varnishes and they are definitely my favorite range of nail varnishes. At the moment I have 14 Barry M nail varnishes but this figure is constantly growing , in particular everytime I pass Boots or Superdrug:

Why do I love Barry M nail varnishes ?

  1. I love how cheap they are £2.99, bargain! Barry M often put offers on their range so I have got a few of these on offer for 2 for £5.
  2. The range of colours is amazing , so much to choose from. I particularly love the pastel colours such as mint green (6th from left) and pink flamingo (8th from left)
  3. Leading on from number 2 , the amazing names ! Strawberry , Berry , Blueberry and Lemon Ice Cream to name just four.
  4. Instant nail effects , amazing product ! Manicure in a bottle and it goes over so many different colours in the Barry M range
  5. The nail varnishes are so easy to apply and I have never needed to apply a second coat which is good for someone who paints their nails so often.
  6. The square shape of the bottle makes it easier to store nail varnishes. It sounds off but its hard to store nail varnishes which are all different shapes especially round bottles. The Barry M are really easy to store and look pretty!
It seems I'm not the only one who loves these nail varnishes as they were voted Best Inexpensive Nail Polish Range in 2009 and 2010 by InStyle.

Confession: I love these nail varnishes so much but have never actually tried any other Barry M product, so this is something i want to rectify in the very near future. After having a look at their website I would like to try the touch of Magic lip paint:
This looks so interesting , described by Barry M as:
A waterproof formula with added Aloe Vera stays on for up to 8 hours. Depending on the alkali level of your lips, determines just how pale or rich the colour will go. I would also like to try some of the Dazzle Dust pots which are 2 for £7 in Boots at the moment.
They have some amazing colours , so hopefully they are as nice to use as the nail varnishes and are really pigmented. I will let you know :)

Tattoo's ♥

My post today is about Tattoo's , what I already have and what I plan on having in the future.I love my tattoo's and seeing other people's.Theres a lot of mixed views on tattoo's. In particular a lot of people believe that women shouldn't have tattoo's because they're not very feminine. I disagree with that completely and think the likes and Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie prove it :
I think they can look amazing if they are done tastefully. Both women are gorgeous women who love to show off their tattoo's and I think they look incredible especially in backless dresses that show their tattoo's off.
I have two tattoo's , for now anyway. Both of my tattoo's are on my wrist and have different stories behind when and why I got them. This is the first one:

I had this tattoo on a whim when I was 17 ( naughty I know ! ). This is on my right wrist. It happened purely by chance I was in town with someone else who was having a tattoo and just decided to have one and the guy didn't ask me for id. I knew I wanted stars so the guy drew this up and I loved it so I had it.  It doesn't have any sort of meaning so I'm not going to pretend it does , it's just pretty to be honest.
This was my second tattoo which is on my left wrist. I had this one done when I was legally old enough at 18. It was done in the same place as the first, but this wasn't on a whim. I thought about what I wanted for a long time. My initial thought was that I wanted my boyfriend of 3 years name but my head was saying no , its not a good idea but my heart was saying do it. In the end sense won , and I came up with the compromise of having Love. It gave me the chance to express how I felt without going over the top. But love is so versatile it has so many different meanings to some many different people. So it may be a hugely overused work it still has personal meaning to me.
At the moment I have got the tattoo bug again and have been longing for a tattoo on my foot. I am going to leave it a little bit longer until I stop wearing winter boots as I don't want my shoes to be constantly rubbing the tattoo while it's healing. I want the basic idea of the tattoo to be like Nicole Richie's:
But there are elements that I want to change such as positioning , size and design of the beads. I want to alter it and make it my own but the basic idea of rosary beads around the ankle and going down onto the foot is what I want.It is to represent my faith and I think is more personal than wearing a cross and means I will never be without it. I am sure about this tattoo and I will getting it as soon as it's ok to start wearing pumps and sandals without getting frostbite on my tootsie. The next tattoo I want is a little more vague , it's a quote from Marilyn Monroe, I know the words I want but I don't know where I want it , If I want anything else to go with the words or what style I want the words to be written(or inked) in. This is the quote:
I just love the quote , I love most Marilyn Monroe quotes not just because I love her but it all rings true to how I feel and think about things. This quote suits me down to the ground though and sometimes I feel like  I need to remember it more and not take things too seriously and just have fun.So I would love to have it tattooed somewhere , need to put more thought into it though.
Right finally I'm going to talk about the pain involved in having a tattoo. Obviously it varies from person to person and depends on where your having it and if its an outline or being colored in. I can only comment on my own personal experience of having my writs tattooed. I found them to be painful but bearable , the hardest part for me was letting him start it , kept talking myself out of it. Once he started though I thought there is no way I'm not having it finished so I got through it. I found the closer the tattoo got to my wrists the more painful it became , I calmed myself by swearing a lot and I felt sorry for the guy as I called him a few names. Whereas my friend was sat on facebook on here phone and didn't even flinch once when she has the side of her hand tattooed so it does vary between people.
I do sometimes wonder if I will end up regretting having my tattoo's when I'm older and will I want to have them removed, but then I think no I'm really glad I had them done because I would regret not having them done more than I would ever regret having them. They're part of me now , and I love them!

Everyday Make-up ♥

Hey ,My blog now has 15 followers which I'm quite excited about so thank you to all my lovely readers x x Today is a make-up post, don't think I've done anything on make-up yet so here goes. I'm going to show you the make-up I wear on a day to day basis:
I'm going to start with the face and firstly my foundation is dream matte mouse in 010 Ivory, I swear by dream matte mousse ! I apply it with a foundation brush and it blends so easily and looks so natural because of the combination of good coverage with a powder finish. My concealer is trick and treatment by Soap and Glory , I love all soap and glory products and this is no exception. There's a yellow tinge in it which really helps cover dark circles under my eyes after a heavy night. The blusher is number 17- Bramble Frost. a lovely wintry name :) It's a really subtle pink , as I cant stand heavy blusher but I can't stand no blusher either because it makes it so obvious your wearing foundation.
I really believe in eyes or lips, never both. So I usually go for eyes. I use eyelash curlers before I apply any mascara as they really make a difference. Its a good idea to warm them up a bit with your hair-dryer so get a heated eyelash effect( you could buy heated eyelash curlers but this way you can use the money to buy something else ). My eye-liner is number 17, I prefer an eye pencil as I've never got the hang of liquid eye-liner and I'm happy with a pencil so don't think I'll bother with liquid eye-liner any time soon.  I used two different eye shadows depending on what I'm wearing really. Either Maybelline in Beige Nude or Rimmel in Smokey Quartz.  I tend to use the Beige Nude more though as it's more subtle for a daytime look. I use two mascaras on my lashes. I used Maybelline Falsies because it gives amazing length but the bristles are too far apart and make my eyelashes look clumpy. So I use Avon Super Curlacious to separate the lashes as the brush is harder and the bristles much closer together to achieve a long lash without clumps.
And lastly I just use bog standard Superdrug Aloe Vera vaseline on my lips, they are really dry particularly first thing in the morning.
Well this post ended up beinga bit longer than I thought. I was just going to do a short post as I'm trying to watch Wales vs England in the rugby. Supporting Wales even though were losing , at the moment anyway! Sat on the edge of my seat....
Come on Wales !!!
